Category viewers are the sum of viewers across all tracked channels streaming that category at each five-minute sample. Average channels counts how many tracked channels were live in the category on average; viewers per channel divides the two and is a good indicator of how competitive a category is for smaller streamers. Only channels above our discovery threshold are tracked, so absolute numbers are lower than platform totals.
